Midwifery Services in West Cheshire
One to One Midwives offer a FREE midwifery service to all NHS patients and are available under West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which covers the following areas:
- Elllesmere Port
- Ince and Elton
If you are interested in our service please contact us and we will be able to confirm if we are able to operate in the area you live.
At One to One we believe that every woman should have a midwife who can provide continuity of care throughout pregnancy, birth and up to 6 weeks postnatal.
Our midwives work as part of a small team of 4 to 6 midwives based in the community who liaise closely with all other NHS services to ensure you get the care you and your baby need.
Our midwives are available 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm for routine appointments and visits - in a community setting local to you or at home, and there will always be a midwife on 24 hour call for emergencies.
To get involved with our service, you can self-refer to us in the following ways:
Call us on: 0330 3309 121
Via our website: http://www.onetoonemidwives.org/enquiries
Via our Ellesmere Port Pregnancy Advice Centre
You can also ask your GP to refer you but this is not essential.

There is also some comprehensive links to other information you may be interested in.
Hypnobirthing combines an understanding of the physiological process – How your body works during birth together with self-hypnosis and the ability to deeply relax and let go. When you birth in an atmosphere of calm relaxation, you are free of fear. When you have a trusting loving partner- your body will release the loving hormone oxytocin. This together with endorphins will ensure a calm relaxed enjoyable birth. Your birthing partner will be empowered to be part of the birthing process to encourage you, to support you and to advocate for you.

How much does the One to One service cost?

What happens after I refer?
After you refer to the service, our case-loading team will allocate you a midwife. Your midwife will contact you within 48 hours to arrange a booking appointment. During this appointment you will have the chance to ask as many questions as necessary and arrange when your next appointments will be scheduled. Your GP will be notified that you want us to care for you and we will keep them updated as your pregnancy progresses. Over the appointments you will be able to discuss your birth plans and ideas and where and how you want to give birth.
